Glossary of all the leaderboard metrics

• CURVE Ball Score

A comprehensive hitting performance score combining metrics like exit velocity, launch angle, and barrel % — giving players a single, objective number to track their offensive ability and development.

• Peak Exit Velocity (Peak FB)

The single hardest-hit ball during testing — a pure measure of raw power and bat speed.

• Average EV50

The average exit velocity of a hitter’s top 50% of batted balls — showing how consistently they drive the ball with force.

• Hard Hit %

The percentage of balls hit 90+ MPH — reflecting a hitter’s ability to generate impactful contact on a regular basis.

• Barrel %

The percentage of swings that result in ideal combinations of exit velocity and launch angle — signaling consistent, high-quality contact.

• 0–30° Launch Angle %

The percentage of batted balls hit in the optimal launch window for line drives and extra-base hits — important for game-ready contact.

• Grip Strength – Left Hand

A measure of hand and forearm strength in the left hand — critical for bat control, throwing stability, and injury prevention.

• Grip Strength – Right Hand

A measure of hand and forearm strength in the right hand — essential for generating power through the swing and maintaining a strong grip in the field.

• Vertical Jump

An indicator of lower-body explosiveness — which translates into rotational power for hitting, acceleration for running, and force generation for throwing.

• 60 Yard Dash

A timed sprint covering 60 yards — the baseball standard for measuring speed and base-stealing potential.

• Outfield Velocity

The velocity of a throw from the outfield — reflecting arm strength, carry, and ability to throw runners out.

• Infield Velocity

The velocity of a throw across the infield — measuring quickness, release speed, and defensive strength.

• Pop Time

The time it takes a catcher to receive the pitch and throw to second base — a critical measure of defensive efficiency and quickness behind the plate.
